Full DescriptionSick has developed a full line of components with mutually compatible connectors and software. This allows us to add components to systems as they require additional functionality. For example, this application required the reading of case barcodes through shrink wrap with the CLV690. The customer later needed to verify that the pallet had been fully loaded to prevent stacking problems, and we were able to add a volumetric scanner, the VMS, on to the existing system.
Barcode Quality Evaluation
Because barcodes are the basis of so many data-acquisition systems, it is important to have an approach to verifying the readability of those codes.
Low Contrast Barcode Applications
When it is not possible to control the quality of printed barcodes, particularly from outside sources, there can be a huge impact on system throughput. Sick's low-contrast technology offers both a method of reading low quality barcodes, and a means of providing qualitative data for grading the codes. Sensors Integration offers code quality testing, as well as installing the correct scanners for the application.
Scan Case for Bill of Lading
For shipping operations that involve many different sized products being packed into cases, creating the packing slip and getting product-shipped data into the CRM system can be time consuming. Sensors Integration can design a reliable system to scan a full case of product as it travels from packing to shipping.
Scanning Parts and Cases Into Inventory
To scan received parts into inventory and divert them to the correct section of the warehouse, Sensors Integration used 2 Cognex DM500 cameras. They did an excellent job of reading barcode labels on small plastic pouches, curved parts, and cases. Triggering was difficult for this application, because bagged product often tripped the trigger eye twice, ...

They did an excellent job of reading barcode labels on small plastic pouches, curved parts, and cases. Triggering was difficult for this application, because bagged product often tripped the trigger eye twice, causing false No-Reads. To solve the problem, a Cognex Checker was used as the trigger.
Laser Marking for Barcode
Extremely reliable, Datalogic's EOX family offers high quality permanent marking on a wide range of material. Its configuration offers extreme flexibility for integration into production lines as well as in stand-alone systems.
With no need for ink or labels, a laser-etched marking solution
