VC-3D: World's First 3D Smart Camera

Photo: IVC-3D - The World's First 3D Smart Camera

The IVC-3D smart camera combines imaging and analysis into one housing. The camera performs inspection, location, and measurement of objects in order to enhance production yield, control production and perform quality control. Applications that once required complicated camera and illumination technology can now easily be completed with the worldís first 3D smart camera.

The IVC-3D is an ideal solution for numerous inspection tasks in robot and handling systems and production processes, such as 3D inspection of food. For example, the IVC-3D can inspect a loaf of bread or cookies - so misshapen products are rejected. Product volume can be measured and used to indicate the need for an on-line adjustment.

The IVC-3D can control a machine, robot or conveyor directly without a PC externally attached, and the IVC-3D can also communicate through I/O, serial, and Ethernet connections. And with the graphical step programming environment, monitoring and configuring the camera is easy.

IVC-2D

The IVC-2D is a high performance smart camera ideal for a variety of inspection and quality control applications. This innovative camera can be used for foil blister pack inspection of pills to verify content, for automated food packaging to ensure product quality, inspection and verification of molded parts, and many more.

The camera is programmed via a graphical interface (IVC Studio). Once configured, the camera can work in stand-alone mode, without the need for a PC. The IVC-2D is easy to integrate with external devices, such as light-and trigger sources due to the standard I/Os that are plug and play compatible with SICK sensors, and camera accessories. For more complex applications, the camera can also send data, such as object coordinates or images of faulty objects over RS485 or Ethernet. The IVC-2D offers a protection class as high as IP 65, when using the optional lens hood.

Vision Sensor FA 45

The first truly industrial vision sensor with an excellent cost-performance ratio.

The first member of SensoPart's FA45 line is a sensor for the detection of objects. It compares objects and parts on the basis of patterns and contours (independent of their position), by analysing differences in contours, contrasts and grey values within a defined area. Up to 32 objects and features can be checked and consequentially connected, thus enabling even complex detection tasks. A sorting function allows the detection and identification of various parts in any or-der and mix.

Thanks to these features, the FA45 object detection sensor may be used for a multitude of applications and branches. Examples are the presence verification of labels or marks, the check for completeness of mounting parts, the emptiness verification when packaging parts, the feed position check of parts in vibratory conveyors, the print and label inspection on components, packagings and bottles or the detection of the position (X-/Y coordinates) of mounting parts, labels or marks, and many more.
